Crocheting for Christmas can be fun and easy. Did you know that in Victorian era Christmas trees were decorated with crochet snowflakes? Try some for your tree too. Maybe you are missing something special for your Christmas gift decorations? Crochet snowflakes can be handy here too. I have tried some patterns that I found online and came across very nice one.
Materials needed:
Yarn (choose your yarn depending on your project that works best for you);
Hook (suitable for you yarn);
Tapestry needle.
Pattern:
Round 1: ch 6, join with a sl st to form a ring;
Round 2: ch 1, make 11 sc into a ring, sl st into ch 1;
Round 3: ch 1, *sc, ch3, sc*, repeat ** 4 more times, sc, ch 3, sl sl into ch 1;
Round 4: make 2 sl st to move to the beginning of loop that was formed on rnd 3, ch 1, make 2 sc into a loop, *ch 4, make 3 sc into a loop*, repeat ** 4 more times, ch 4, sl st in ch 1;
Round 5: ch 1, make 2 sc into two next sc of rnd 4, *make 2 sc into a next loop of rnd 4, ch 4, make 2 sc into same loop, make 3 sc into next 3 sc of rnd 4*, repeat ** 4 more times, make 2 sc into a next loop, ch 4, make 2 sc into the same loop, sl st into ch 1;
Round 6: ch 4, skip 1 sc of rnd 5 and make sc, *ch 2, sc into a loop, ch 4, sc into a loop, ch 7, sc into a loop, ch 4, sc into a loop, ch 2, make sc into a third sc of rnd 5, ch 3, skip one sc and make sc into rnd 5*, repeat ** 4 more times, ch 2, sc into a loop, ch 4, sc into a loop, ch 7, sc into a loop, ch 4, sc into a loop, ch 2, sl st into first ch of ch 4. Fasten off.
